1. All facilities in TTSA are for use by members only.
2. Members are permitted to introduce guests to the premises and facilities of the Association's Sailing Centre. However any guest, resident in Trinidad and Tobago visiting the Sailing Centre more than three times in the course of a calendar year, will be required to apply for membership of the Association.
3. Every member introducing a guest will be required to sign-in their guests' name and address prior to entry and use of the facilities.
4. A member should not introduce as a guest to the Sailing Centre any person who has been struck off the list of members or whose presence shall be considered objectionable.
5. No member should invite a non-member group of any size to the site, without first seeking permission from the Manager.
6. Pool parties must be arranged with the Office in advance and stipulate restrictions must be adhered to. All children under the age of 12 must be under the supervision of an adult while using the pool.
7. Paper and other items to be discarded, should always be put into a garbage bin and bottles into the empty cases provided for this purpose. Garbage from Yachts must be discarded in dumpster outside, not in bins within club compound.
8. Jumping, diving, fishing, playing or climbing off the jetty or the Yachts at anchor is not permitted.
9. Children are not allowed to interfere with the Association's dinghies and/or boats belonging to members. Children should be supervised at all times and are not to play within the precinct of the bar.
10. Due to the type of bar licence we hold, barmen are not permitted to sell liquor to non-members and minors.
11. Members are reminded that they are not permitted to bring food or drink on the premises for consumption on shore.
12. No cars are permitted to park within the precincts of TTSA unless boat owners are on their yachts overnight or longer, or working on their boats.
13. All members and guests should abide with the opening hours of the pool as mandated by the management of TTSA.
14. Neither TTSA nor any of their members or agents accept responsibility for the loss of life, injury, or other damage on the premises or in the pool area.
15. No animals are allowed on the premises.
MEMBER DINGHY OWNERS
1. All boats parked on shore must be placed on well constructed operational trailers at all times. Dinghies like the Kingfish, Sunfish and Laser are the only exceptions to this by-law.
2. Dinghies like the Kingfish, Sunfish & Laser when not in use must be put in their racks
3. All dinghy sailors must wear lifejackets on all sailing occasions.
4. The Association's trailers are to be used for transporting boats to the launching pad. Boats must not be left on the trailers for any duration of time.
5. Trailers, when not in use, must be parked in their proper positions.
6. Dinghies should not be parked on the slipway or on the no parking zones.
7. Dinghy owners must ensure that all spars, if left at TTSA, are properly numbered and locked into racks. TTSA will not be held liable for any loss of equipment
MEMBER CRUISER OWNERS
1. All boating facilities of the Association are for use by Full Members only.
2. The tenders are used primarily for carrying boat owners, crew, boat gear, etc., to and from their boats. Only the designated Boatmen should operate tenders.
3. Any member who operates the tenders during unforeseen circumstances or outside of normal hours must be prepared to hold themselves responsible for the well being of the boat and engine and also ensure the tender is properly secured to the jetty after use.
4. Members should advise the Manager or some other responsible person prior to leaving the Association for any extended period of time.
5. Yachts are not allowed to remain tied alongside the jetty overnight. Permission can be sought from the office in unusual circumstances.
A fee of $100.00 WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL OVERNIGHT STAYS.
6. The jetties are not to be used for extensive boat repairs. All such repairs are to be carried out in the outhaul yard.
7. All moorings are under the control of the moorings committee.
8. Moorings are leased from TTSA and cannot be sold, transferred, or disposed of in any manner what so ever.
9. It is the duty of each boat owner to ensure that his mooring ropes, plastic hose, floats etc. are in order. If not, the fault must be reported to the Manager immediately.
10. Yacht owners will be charged for repairing damaged mooring lines caused by negligence of owners, e.g., lines broken due to chafing (no plastic), or dropping of safety lines.
11. Yacht Owners must make bookings to outhaul directly with the Office. You are asked to be sensitive with regard to the busy season - (June -December), and make advance bookings. Fees must be paid in full PRIOR to launching.
12. Subject to the 3 times yearly entry allowance for members guests, it is the responsibility of every Skipper to ensure that ALL crew are/or become members of TTSA.
THE RULES MAY BE AMENDED AT ANY TIME BY THE MANAGEMENT
