Trough out the sailing season the Trinidad and Tobago Youth Sailing School offers sailing classes for both children and adults, from beginners up to race level.

The sailing classes are offered per term, the term for sailing season 2007 - 2008 being:

• September term 2007 11th September - 1st December 2007
• January term 2008 8th January - 15th March 2008
• April term 2008 8th April - 7th June 2008

For children aged 7-15 sailing classes are offered in Optimists dinghies on the following days:

• Tuesday afternoon 3:30 - 5:30 Race training
• Wednesday afternoon 3:00 - 5:00 Beginners/Intermediate
• Saturday morning 8:30 - 10:30 Beginners/Beginners+
• Saturday morning 10:45 - 12:45 Intermediate/Intermediate+
• Saturday afternoon 2:00 - 5:30 Intro to race/race training

Cost for youth sailing classes: $ 540.00 (once a week) or $ 720.00 (twice a week)

For youths and adults sailing classes are given in 420’s on the following days:

• Tuesday morning 10:00 - 12:00 All levels, except race training
• Wednesday morning 10:00 - 12:00 All levels, except race training
• Thursday morning 10:00 - 12:00 All levels, except race training
• Saturday morning 8:30 - 10:30 Beginners
• Saturday morning 10:45 - 12:45 Intermediate
• Saturday afternoon 2:00 - 5:30 Intro to race/race training

Cost for adult sailing classes: $ 600.00 for 6 classes of 2 hours each.

Currently the Trinidad and Tobago Youth Sailing School doesn’t have a full-time race coach to train the Optimist and Laser sailors, however from September 2007 we hope to be have a full-time race coach available to train our competitive sailors.
